Need help posting quotes

Sometimes, when I want a quote posted, I may only want a portion of the quote to show up. What I have been doing is highlitghting the portions I want posted and click quote, but it always puts the entire quote up. What am I doing wrong?

Highlight the portion you want and hit copy thn go to quote and paste what you copied between the quotes that came up when you clicked on the quote button
