Could probably do evrything with the sweet 16 but a guy's got to have a backup or two..................
Boy no one has been here in a while. I pretty much cut my teeth with a Mossberg 500 pump, really like that one. Today I have an Ithica mod 37 16ga. Really like those Ithicas but I've never shot this one. Started using SxS's years ago and never left them. Really like my AyA's. I have had a 12ga, have now a 16ga, 28ga and a 410. Wish they had double triggers. Had ejectors but I took them out, I like extractor's. Also have a 20ga CZ Bobwhite and 28ga CZ Bobwhite. Before getting the CZ's I was only hnting with my AyA 28 and the 410. These days I take along the 28 AyA and the 28 CZ. Funny thing, went into Sportsmans and saw the 20ga CZ but was looking for a 28. Well just in case I couldn't find a 28, I bought the 20ga. Got home and wrote about in on IFish and got a message from a guy in Portland that he had a 28ga CZ he'd let me have for $300! Well went and looked and it looked like it hd never been shot! He also threw in a case and ten box's of factory ammo! What could I do. Bought it, took it home and tried it out on some pen raised chukar with Stormy and pretty sure I got a great deal on it. No which is nicer, CZ or AyA? Well I wouldn't part with either. My ego say's the AyA is probably better but the CZ hasn't given me one thing to complaain about. Oh wait. Since getting the 20ga CZ I have bought two box's of ammo and haven't fired the gun even one time! 28ga has me hooked! I think my shotgun buying days are over, I think. Loaned my 410 to my son a few weeks ago and haven't got it back yet! Really liked using it on pigeons training and carried it for grouse about 50% of the time.
My first SxS was years ago up in Montana. Bernidelli Delux Gamecock. Really nice gun but some how just didn't work for me. Then years down the road I got a 12ga Steven's 310 and boy did it click. Weighed just short of a ton but you couldn't hurt the thing! Worse you treated it the better it worked.
I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!
